CLOTHES
Each infant must have at least three changes of clothing in their cubbie. You need to check for soiled clothes and make sure that they have fresh clothes in their cubbie each day. They need to wear durable, washable clothing that can withstand play and art projects. Depending on the age of your child, weather appropriate clothing is necessary, including boots for those that are walking.
REMEMBER: All items brought to school MUST BE LABELED.
LUNCH/SNACK TIME
St. Clare Preschool & Daycare will supply morning and afternoon snacks. Milk and juice are provided for snack time as well as lunch. It is always available for Infants throughout the day.
CCD requires that we monitor lunches to make sure they meet the USDA guidelines for a nutritious meal. This includes meeting all of the four major food groups, which are dairy, fruits and vegetables, grain, and protein. Please keep this in mind when preparing their lunches.
When your child comes to school, there is a refrigerator in the room for you to put their bottles/lunch in.
If bottles are needed for your child, please make sure they are labeled and prepared each day. Bottles must be capped and should have only the amount needed for one feeding per bottle. They cannot be reheated or refrigerated again once they have been used. Breast milk should be frozen in small increments. It will be heated as needed.
MEDICATIONS
A medical authorization needs to be filled out for each child before any medicine can be administered. This form includes date, time, name of medication and dosage amount. Please store your medication in the appropriate place. There will be a lock box on top of the refrigerator and another lock box inside the refrigerator for medication.
MISC. ITEMS
Please bring in one box of baby wipes a month to contribute to classroom use. We use these throughout the day. Also, remember that it is necessary for families to provide diapers for their child. Always make sure you have enough on hand here at the school.
NAP/QUIET TIME
Each child may bring a small blanket and/or cuddly toy if needed. These items should be taken home each Friday, laundered, and returned Monday morning. Again, please remember to label everything. St. Clare will provide crib sheets, and other necessary bedding items for the Infant Class.
PHOTOS
Each family is required to bring photos of all people authorized to pick up your child. We cannot release your child without a photograph.
St. Clare Preschool and Daycare feels it is important to the children to feel a connection between family and school. To support this, we will be compiling a photo album or display for each classroom. Please bring no more than six photos from your family. These may include parents, grandparents, other special people, and pets; whomever you consider part of your family.
These photos will not be returned but will become a permanent addition to each classroom, providing a lasting chain of memories through the years.
Thank you for your support. Remember, LABEL EVERYTHING!
