Outreach Committees

Oversees implementation of Outreach Ministries. Meetings are first Tuesday of the month.

Peace & Justice Committee

Foster a response to the Church's call to peace and justice in our parish through prayer, study, educational programs and action. The committee strives to implement the Encyclicals of the Popes and the Pastoral Letters of the American Bishops regarding peace, the economy and social justice. Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

St. Vincent de Paul

Assist parish and neighborhood needy with food, furniture, and assistance for temporary housing and gasoline. Meetings are on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

Metro Alliance for the Common Good (MACG)

In 2004, St. Clare joined MACG as a member institution of the community-based organization. As a member, St. Clare Parish is a participating institution and has joined with other civil sector institutions: churches synagogues, mosques, unions, schools, and strong civic, environmental, housing and health groups. Affiliation with MACG helps St. Clare to become a more relational community in fulfilling its mission. Meetings are the third Tuesday evening of the month.

Loaves & Fishes

Provide hot noon meals in a family style atmosphere to area residents 60 years and older at the Multnomah Senior Center.

Meals on Wheels

Deliver hot noon meals and a friendly visit to homebound seniors who are unable to cook for themselves. Red Cross Blood Drives. Coordinate and assist with conducting Red Cross Blood Drives held at the Parish Hall.

Provide 40 low-income families in Southwest Portland with food and gifts during the Christmas season.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Support group that assists people who are in recovery due to chemical dependency. These are open meetings. All are welcome. Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. in the parish library.
